MEMBER CODE OF CONDUCT FOR THE VIRGINIA CLUB OF NEW YORK
The mission of the Virginia Club of New York (the “Club”) is to create and maintain a strong connection between the University of Virginia (UVA), its students, alumni, families, and friends in the greater New York City metropolitan area.
Virginia Club Members and event attendees shall support the Club’s mission by acting with the highest ethical and legal standards. Participants of Club events and programs are expected to treat all guests and staff with courtesy and respect, honor financial obligations (e.g. dues, fees, event tickets), represent UVA and the Club truthfully, use Yale Club facilities responsibly, avoid disruptive or unsafe behavior at events, and communicate professionally, including on social media. Any kind of misconduct is prohibited. Participants acknowledge that attendance at events carries inherent risks and assume all associated risks.
- Events Held Within the Yale Club
The Virginia Club resides at the Yale Club of New York City and regularly hosts events at their facilities. All Virginia Club events held at the Yale Club are subject to the Yale Club’s House Rules and Bylaws in addition to the Virginia Club’s Code of Conduct. Yale Club governance handles violations committed within the Yale Club.
