The Virginia Club is a non-profit organization that thrives on hundreds of volunteer hours and contributions. Your membership helps us to grow as a club!

Starting at $30 per year, social membership is great for anyone who attends Virginia Club of New York events!
Social Membership
For those who frequently attend Virginia Club events, we offer an annual membership that grants benefits such as discounts to all ticketed events. We offer four social membership pricing options; social membership is tax-deductible and valid for a full twelve months beginning the day one registers. The Virginia Club of New York social membership is powered by Maxio.
While social membership pricing options are delineated by class year, social membership is open to alumni, parents, family, and friends of the University, and holding a degree from UVA is not required.

A social member’s savings can total over $150 in one year!
Social membership does not entitle alumni to access the Yale Club. In order to receive these benefits, please sign up for clubhouse membership.

With a clubhouse membership, all alumni get exclusive access to the Yale Club of New York City.
Clubhouse Membership
Since 1995, a unique alliance between the Virginia Club of New York and the Yale Club of New York City has given UVA alumni access to membership to the Yale Club of New York City. Located at the corner of 44th Street and Vanderbilt Avenue, in the heart of Manhattan, the 22-story building is the largest college-affiliated clubhouse in the world. It features 138 hotel rooms, three restaurants, a roof terrace, two bars, a library, and a fitness facility featuring a newly-renovated gym, three squash courts, pool, steam room, and sauna.
Clubhouse membership allows UVA alumni to utilize the Yale Club facilities and attend events hosted by the Yale Club, in addition to enjoying the benefits offered through Virginia Club social membership. UVA alumni make up close to 1,600 members of the Yale Club. Please view our 2024 Clubhouse Member Information Packet for a full outline of the dues and benefits of clubhouse membership.
Membership Eligibility
Clubhouse membership is available to:
- University of Virginia degree holders of any school
- Full-time professors
- Current full-time graduate students
- Those enrolled in a full-time graduate school program are eligible for a significant discount on their dues and initiation fee as well as a 50% discount on an athletic package. Applicants must provide proof of enrollment.
- Spouses or domestic partners of any of the above, regardless of school attended

Reciprocal Clubs
Clubhouse members also enjoy the Yale Club’s network of carefully-selected Reciprocal Clubs in some of the most popular destinations in over 15 major countries and 20 states. From historic clubs in Boston, Chicago, and London to athletic clubs in Los Angeles and Seattle to country clubs in the Tri-State area and beyond, clubhouse membership connects UVA alumni to over 100 additional membership clubs when traveling for business or pleasure. Clubhouse members may request access to a reciprocal club by submitting a Letter of Introduction on their Yale Club internal portal.

Ready to become a member of the Yale Club?
As a first step, please fill out the below form. Once the form is received, our Executive Director will reach out with next steps – which include submitting your initial payment and a headshot – within three business days. After payment submission, membership activation will occur within another three business days. You will receive a confirmation with your active account number and instructions to download your virtual membership card.

Benefits received by all Virginia Club members include:
- Discounted prices to almost all ticketed events. Average savings is $10 – 15 per event. Members also enjoy free admission to some events that are ticketed for non-members, such as faculty speaker events.

In addition to the various social benefits offered via Virginia Club membership, the Club partners with small businesses that have NYC or UVA ties, many of which are Hoo-founded or Hoo-led. Affordable Art Fair
Virginia Club of New York members can enjoy $10 off tickets to the Affordable Art Fair! The concept is simple, yet unique: an inspiring and friendly atmosphere in which you can find thousands of original paintings, prints, sculptures and photographs all under one roof, ranging from $100-$10,000.
Barclays Center
Enjoy special alumni ticket offers at Barclays Center, the home of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets. Group orders of 10+ receive additional discounts. Previous discounted functions include Nets games, Disney On Ice, College Hockey and multiple concerts.
BASK
Step up your beachwear game with a terry cloth toweling blazer from BASK. UVA colors available! All Virginia Club of New York members will receive a 10% discount from all BASK purchases. A 15% discount on blazers with Virginia colors (navy blue and orange trim) is also available on a limited basis throughout the year.
